I love all the different kinds of photography sessions that I do. I love chasing little ones through a park while they play, meeting seniors and talking to them about their big plans, capturing families together, but there is something extra special about newborn sessions. I am always so excited to get my hands on itty bitty babies. I especially love baby girls and all the pink, ribbons, bows and tutus they can entail. My “little” girl is 9 years old so I have to get my fix vicariously through my fabulous clients.
I was so excited to get to meet Miss Julia who was just 9 days old. She’s one lucky little lady. I got to spend time with her beautiful mom and big sister as well as her totally adoring aunt and grandma. Newborn photography sessions are among my favorite. I just love the chance to get a baby fix now that my “baby” is almost 5 years old. I was especially excited for this newborn baby girl because she is lucky enough to have my friends Janet and Brad as her fabulous mom and dad (you can see their maternity session here). I had been waiting and waiting to meet Miss Betsy and to get to do her first pictures!
Now don’t let her sweet looks fool you. This sweetpea wasn’t convinced that going to sleep for a bit was the best idea. She wanted to see what was going on, she wanted a snack, she wanted daddy to hold her and she sure didn’t want to be unwrapped! The day of our session was the first time I had gotten to meet Sophie. She and I had a lot of fun finding different places to try and talking about her summer and the upcoming school year. I loved getting to know her and also was thrilled to get to photograph her with her beautiful eyes and fabulous hair color!

I could not wait to get sweet Cora back in front of my camera. Our first meeting got cut short due to rain and lightening. She definitely did not disappoint and was all smiles from the moment she arrived. In the short time between our two sessions she had mastered sitting up and was showing off her new skill!
I also found out that she is the first baby I have met in person who out-weighed my little guy at birth. Miss Cora weighed in at 10 pounds 7 ounces, beating out Tanner by just a single ounce! Big huggable babies are the best!Continue reading “Oh Baby! {Central Arkansas Child Photography}” »
